Congratulations & well done to Sean Tobin, Clonmel A.C. who had a great race in the Celtic International Cross Country held in ALSAA, Dublin on Sunday last, 6^th February. Sean was part of a strong U/20 Irish Men’s team which came 2^nd behind Scotland on the day. Sean finished in 3^rd place overall in the race & was the 2^nd athlete home for Ireland behind Liam Brady, Tullamore Harriers A.C.

The Woodies DIY AAI Juvenile “B” Cross Country Championships were also held in ALSAA on the same day. Tipperary had a small number of athletes competing from Moyne A.C.., Slieveardagh A.C., Templemore A.C., Coolquill A.C. Dundrum A.C. & Clonmel A.C. In the Girls U/13 2500m, Eimear Loughman, Dundrum A.C. won National Bronze while the Girls U/13 Team of Eimear Loughman, Dundrum A.C., Emma Doyle, Moyne A.C., Shonagh Cleary, Slieveardagh A.C., Molly Kavanagh, Moyne A.C., Jean Kelly, Dundrum A.C. & Katie Tobin, Slieveardagh A.C.  won National Gold in the Inter-County competition. Wed 9^th February – Hurdles Workshop in Moyne Pavilion from 7pm to 9pm with registration at 6.45pm. Cost per athlete is €5.00.

Sunday 13^th February – Munster Senior & Junior Cross Country Championships & Inter County Relays in Kilnaboy, Co. Clare.

Wed 16^th February – Sprints Workshop in Moyne Pavilion from 7pm to 9pm with registration at 6.45pm. Cost per athlete is €5.00.

Thurs 17^th February – Munster Schools Cross Country in CIT.

Sat 19^th & Sun 20^th February – Munster Juvenile U/9 to U/13 Indoor Championships in Nenagh Indoor Stadium at 11am.

Sat 26^th & Sun 27^th February – Munster Juvenile U/14 to U/19 Indoor Championships in Nenagh Indoor Stadium. Timetables for both weekends are now up on the Munster website at www.munsterathletics.com.

Sat 12^th March – County Juvenile Indoor Championships for U/13 to Junior in Nenagh Indoor Stadium.

Sun 13^th March – County Juvenile Indoor Championships for U/9 to U/12 in Nenagh Indoor Stadium. Timetable for both days are now up on our website at www.tipperaryathletics.com. Closing date for entries is Friday 25^th February 2011.
