National Gold for Deirbhile

Congratulations to Deirbhile Ryan, Nenagh Olympic & Darren Prout, Coolquill who were National medal winners for Tipperary at the Woodie’s DIY Juvenile Indoor Combined Events last Saturday. Deirbhile was in fine form winning National gold in the Girls U/14 finishing on a great score of 2275pts, 50 points ahead of second place while Darren put in a great performance winning National Bronze in the Boys U/14 with a score of 2312 points. Other athletes who performed well were:- Kellie Ann Doyle, Carrick on Suir (5^th in Girls U/14 on 2058pts); Ciardha Maher, Nenagh Olympic (6^th in Girls U/14 on 1871 pts); Damon Gregory, Nenagh Olympic (5^th in Boys U/14 on 2036pts); Caroline Morgan, Nenagh Olympic (12^th in Girls U/16 on 1490pts) & Dan Finnerty, Nenagh Olympic (4^th in Boys U/16 on 3184pts).

Some of our athletes also competed at the East Munster Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships on Friday last.
