Irish Team Set for Euro Cross Challenge

Good luck to Tipperary athletes, Sean Tobin & Kevin Maunsell, Clonmel A.C. who will don the Irish singlet to compete in the Senior Men's race at the European Cross Country in Tilburg, Netherlands on Sunday 9th December. We wish them the very best of luck. Well done to Daniel Ryan, Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. who was part of the Brunel University team that won the London Universities & Colleges Athletics Cup on Saturday 1st December in Lee Valley Athletics Centre. Ryan (pictured on the far right) contributed to his team's points by winning the 60mH (8.48), placing 2nd in the Shot Putt (12.62m) & 4th in the 60m (7.20).

Bronze for Shanahan as Tipp Teams Win Gold & Bronze

The Munster Intermediate Cross Country Championships were held in Riverstick, Co. Cork on Sunday 2nd December. Denis Shanahan, Thurles Crokes A.C. won individual bronze in the Intermediate Mens' race with the Tipperary Men's team of Denis, Paddy Cummins, Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C., John Treacy & John Fitzgibbon, Thurles Crokes A.C, Dermot Hayes, Dundrum A.C. & Kieran Lees, Mooreabbey Milers A.C. taking home gold. Thurles Crokes A.C. won the Inter-Club gold with Dundrum A.C. winning bronze.In the Intermediate Women's race, Jacqueline Hughes, Thurles Crokes A.C. was 5th with Angela Fogarty, Moyne A.C. in 6th and the Tipperary Women's team of Jacqueline, Angela, Aisling Maher, Moyne A.C. & Martina Ryan, Thurles Crokes A.C. taking home bronze. Strong Showing from Tipp At Munster Juvenile "B" XC

The Munster Juvenile "B" Cross Country Championships took place on Sunday 2nd December in Riverstick, Co. Cork. Tipperary athletes competed very well winning silver team medals in the Girls U/9, Boys U/9 & Girls U/11 & bronze in the Boys U/13. Dundrum A.C. also won Club team medals in the Girls U/9 (gold) & Girls U/13 (bronze) with a top 2 finish for Laura Cooney, Clonmel A.C. (2nd Girls U/15) & James Doyle, Thurles Crokes A.C. Online entry closes at midnight on Thursday 6th December.
U/23 Distances: Women 4km; Men 7km. 3 to score for both
Master Distances: Women & Men 0/65+ 4km; Men up to 0/60 7km
Scoring: Men O/35 4 to score. If there are no teams of 4 to score, medals will be awarded to teams of 3. Ladies O/35 3 to score. Men O/50 3 to Score Ladies O/45 3 to score. See Byelaws here.

Tobin & Maunsell Selected for European Cross Country

Following their superb performances on Sunday last at the Irish Life Health National Senior Cross Country Championships, Clonmel A.C. duo, Sean Tobin & Kevin Maunsell have both been selected for the Irish Senior Men's team for the European Cross Country Championships in Tilburg, Netherlands on 9th December. Congrats to them both.

Civic Reception for Rowland

Congrats to Genevieve Rowland, Templemore A.C. who was recently afforded a civic reception by the Templemore - Thurles Municipal District in recognition of her contribution to Athletics. Genevieve represented Ireland at the World Master T&F Championships held in Malaga in September. She competed in the O/35 Heptathlon competition finishing 5th overall. Genevieve is pictured above with Councillor Michael Smith.


Positive News for Clonmel With New Sports Hub
The development of a Sports Hub on the Frank Drohan Road (By Pass) will include a 400m athletics track with associated in-field training and competitive areas, finishing straights and boundary fencing. One of the key anchor tenants will be Clonmel A.C.

Day 3 of Munster Development & Performance Squads, Saturday 29th December in Nenagh Indoor Stadium. Development Squad from 11am to 1pm, 5 euro per athlete. Events covered will be Sprints, Long Jump, Pole Vault, Shot Putt, Javelin, Middle Distance & Walks. Javelin will take place in Borrisokane A.C. Grounds. Please note that anyone is welcome to join the Middle Distance group which will meet at 11am at the Stadium with coach Sean Finn and then train up in the CBS grounds. The Walks Development & Performance Squads will take place TOGETHER at 1pm with coach, Frank Lynch. All events will be covered for the Performance Squad which will run from 1pm to 3pm. National Titles For Hayde and Nenagh with Senior Medals for Tobin & Maunsell

The Irish Life Health National Juvenile Even Age & Senior Cross Country Championships took place in the National Sports Campus, Abbotstown on Sunday 25th November. Aimee Hayde, Newport A.C. took gold in the Girls U/16 race with Nenagh Olympic A.C. Boys U/14 team also scoring gold in the Inter-Club competition. Sean Tobin and Kevin Maunsell, Clonmel A.C. finished in 2nd & 3rd place overall in the Senior Men's race with Clonmel A.C. winning bronze in the Inter-Club competition with Sean, Kevin, William Maunsell (13th) & David Mansfield (55th). The Tipperary Men's team also secured silver in the Inter-County competition with Sean Tobin, Kevin & William Maunsell, Sergiu Cibanu (19th), Kevin Moore, Dundrum A.C (42nd) & David Mansfield (55th). Siobhan O'Doherty, Borrisokane A.C. was the best of the Tipperary women finishing in 9th place with the Women's County team in 6th. Other juveniles who scored highly were Tom Walshe, Nenagh Olympic A.C. who was 8th in the Boys U/14 race with Cian Hodgins in 13th place. Nenagh Olympic A.C. secured gold with Tom, Cian, Ben Walsh (20th) & Micheal Moylan (54th) with the Tipperary team of Tom, Cian, Aaron Moore, Moyne A.C. (16th), Ben Walsh (20th), Shane Buckley, Dundrum A.C. (28th) & Dara Kennedy, Newport A.C. (34th) winning silver. Sunday 25th November in the National Sports Campus, Abbotstown, Dublin.
See all important information here. Good luck to all our athletes who will be taking part. Tipperary will have two Juvenile teams on the day, Girls U/14 and Boys U/14. See Teams here. Eibhlis Purcell, our County Juvenile XC Secretary will be in Abbotstown to organise the numbers and singlets and she will stay around at the registration area to meet the athletes. All athletes need to be there by 10.45am as she has to have the teams registered 45 minutes before the first race. Eibhlis's contact number is 087 2027482.

Alexander, Hayes & O'Donoghue Compete At Home Countries XC

Matt Alexander, Coolquill A.C., Dermot Hayes, Dundrum A.C. & Willie O'Donoghue, Mooreabbey Milers A.C. were Tipperary's representatives at the Home Countries (British & Irish) Master Cross Country Championships in Swansea, Wales on Saturday 17th November. Dermot Hayes was first home for the Irish team in Race 2 in 5th place in a time of 28.01 and was the first scorer on the Irish M50 team that won bronze. Willie O'Donoghue won a bronze medal with the Irish M55 team competing in the same race as Hayes and finishing 54th overall in a time of 32.08, 16th in the M55 categooy and was the 3rd scoring member of the Irish team. Matt Alexander took part in Race 1 which was the M65 race and he finished 105th overall and 17th in his M65 category in a time of 26.30 with the Irish team finishing 4th. Congratulations to all three men and such great performances on the Home Countries stage.

Munster Masters XC Championships
Sunday 18th November in Clarecastle, Co. Clare
Dymphna Ryan and Linda Grogan, Dundrum A.C. won gold and silver in the Master Women's 0/35 category with Dundrum A.C. taking bronze in the team competition & silver in the Inter-County competition. Stuart Moloney, Mooreabbey Milers A.C. was 2nd in the 0/35 Men's category with bronze for Denis Shanahan, Thurles Crokes A.C. in the 0/40. Tom Blackburn, Mooreabbey Milers was 3rd 0/50, Thurles Crokes A.C. were 2nd in the 0/35 Club with Tipperary 2nd in the Inter-County. Dundrum A.C. were 2nd overall in the 0/50 Club with Tipperary 2nd in the 0/50 Inter County competition.

Missing Spikes & Orthotics
At last Sunday's Munster Cross Country in the Middlepiece, Two Mile Borris, an U/19 athlete left a pair of spikes behind him in the car park area (beside the exit). They were blue and yellow spikes which contained very expensive, custom made orthotics (black). If anyone remembers seeing them or has any information on their whereabouts, could you please e-mail info@munsterathletics.com. Also lost on the day were a pair of Women's prescription purple sunglasses. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

There were Munster titles for Shane Buckley, Dundrum A.C. in the Boys U/13, Aimee Hayde, Newport A.C. in the Girls U/17 & Siobhan O'Doherty, Borrisokane A.C. in the Senior Women's race with Dundrum A.C. taking the title in the Senior Women's Club competition and Tipperary Senior Women winning the Inter-County title with Siobhan, Dymphna Ryan & Linda Grogan, Dundrum A.C. (6th & 7th) & Ciara Cummins, Nenagh Olympic A.C. in 8th. Best of the Tipperary Men was Kevin Moore, Dundrum A.C. in 5th with 3rd for the Tipperary team of Kevin, Paddy Cummins, Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. (26th), Paul Minogue, Clonmel A.C. (27th), Tony Fogarty, Templemore A.C. (30th), Joseph Feery, Clonmel A.C. (31st) & Eamon Morrisey, Dundrum A.C. (33rd). Silver Team Medal for Ryan at SIAB Schools International

Congrats to Dillon Ryan, Thurles CBS/Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. who was Tipperary's only representative on the Irish Schools Combined Events team that competed in the Emirates Arena, Glasgow on Saturday 3rd November at the SIAB Schools International Combined Events. Ryan finished 8th overall in the Junior Boys competition scoring a personal best of 2930 points, also setting new personal bests in the 60mH & 200m. He was the 3rd scoring member for Ireland in the Boys U/16 competition with the team winning silver behind England. AAI report here.

Reminder: Munster Official's Training Course
for Coaches & Club Members
Saturday 3rd November in Nenagh Indoor Stadium from 12pm to 3pm. This is a free workshop hosted by Munster Athletics. Coaches and Clubs who have athletes competing at Championships (Counties, Munsters or National Championships) must be represented in Nenagh. At least one member from each Club must be in attendance. E-mails have been sent out to all Clubs since beginning of September.

Mansfield Wins European Police Marathon

David Mansfield, Clonmel A.C. ran a personal best of 2.20.14 to finish 6th at the Dublin City Marathon on Sunday 28th October. He is the first ever Irish winner of the European Police Sports Union Marathon which was held in conjunction with the Dublin City Marathon.

Clonmel A.C. Senior Men's team won bronze at the Dublin City Marathon with team members, David Mansfield, Jimmy Boland (2.38.29) & David Ryan (2.43.47).

The Munster Juvenile Even Age, Novice & U/23 XC Championships were held in Beaufort, Co. Kerry on Sunday 21st October. There were super wins for Cian Hodgins, Nenagh Olympic A.C. Reminder & Important Information: Munster Development & Performance Squads tomorrow, Saturday 27th October in Nenagh Indoor Stadium. Development Squad from 11am to 1pm, 5 euro per athlete. Events covered will be Sprints, Shot Putt, Pole Vault, Long Jump, Middle Distance & Walks. Please note that anyone is welcome to join the Middle Distance group which will meet at 11am at the Stadium with coach Sean Finn and then train up in the CBS grounds. The Walks Development & Performance Squads will take place together at 1pm with coach, Frank Lynch. All events will be covered for the Performance Squad. All Throws for the Performance group will meet up in Borrisokane A.C. Grounds at 1pm (except Shot which is 2.15pm). There is no need to come to the Stadium. The Discus and Shot Putt groups will be taken by Sean Whitney, Discus from 1pm to 2.15pm and Shot Putt from 2.15pm to 3.30pm. Athletes are welcome to do both sessions if they so wish. John Sheehan will take Javelin and John O'Farrell will coach Hammer.

Win for Tobin at Autumn Cross Country
Sean Tobin, Clonmel A.C. was the winner of the Men's race at the Athletics Ireland Autumn Open Cross Country in Dublin on Sunday 21st October. His team mates, Kevin & William Maunsell finished 3rd and 6th. Matt Alexander, Coolquill A.C. was 3rd in the M65+ (25.15) & Siobhan O'Doherty, Borrisokane A.C. was 18th in the Senior Women's race (21.48).See AAI Report here.

These Championships took place in AIT International Arena, Athlone on Saturday 13th October. Congratulations to Dillon Ryan, Thurles CBS/Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. who finished 4th in the Junior Boys competition (2812 points) and has been selected for to compete for Ireland at the SIAB Schools Combined Events Championships, his first Irish vest and the 5th member of his family to earn one. Well done also to Brian Naughton, Glenstal Abbey/Nenagh Olympic A.C. who was 6th in the Senior Boys, Tom McCutcheon, St. Joseph's Borriosleigh/Nenagh Olympic A.C. who was 8th in the Minor Boys (2123 points) & Laura Hayes, Borrisokane CC/Borrisokane A.C. who was 13th in the Inter Girls (1601 points).

The County Tipperary Primary Schools Cross Country Championships took place in Thurles Crokes A.C. grounds on Wednesday 26th September. Daly Selected for World Youth Olympics

Congratulations to Miriam Daly, Carrick-On-Suir A.C. who has been selected to compete on the European team in the 400mH at the World Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Games will run from 6th to 18th October. Miriam recently finished 6th in her 400mH SF at the European U/18 T&F Championships in Gyor in July and was ranked 10th overall.  See all the World Youth Olympic Games information here.

The County Juvenile Cross Country Championships get underway on Sunday 7th October with the Even Age Championships in the Turnpike, Two Mile Borris at 12 noon. See all the information here. 4th Place for Dwyer, 15th Place for Alexander & 42nd place for Carroll

Congrats to Ross Alexander, Coolquill A.C. who was an excellent 15th in the M35 10km Road Walk at the World Masters T&F Championships in a time of 55.39. See Result here. John Dwyer, Templemore A.C. also put in a great effort in the M35 Weight for Distance finishing a fantastic 4th with a throw of 15.45m. See Result here. Brian Carroll, Moyne A.C. also competed very well in the M35 Half Marathon on Sunday 16th September finishing in 42nd place in a time of 1.34.06. Result here. He was also part of the Irish M35 team that finished an excellent 4th overall. Result here.

Children First Act 2017 - Information Evening (IMPORTANT)

Athletic Ireland's National Children's Officer, Kieron Stout is hosting an Information Evening for County Tipperary Athletics Clubs on Wednesday 19th September in Thurles Crokes A.C. at 7pm. The purpose of the meeting is to spend time looking at Club requirements under the Children First Act 2017. At the most recent County Board meeting held last week, it was decided that ALL County Athletics Clubs MUST have in attendance their Chairperson, Secretary and Children's Officer, this is compulsory attendance. Can all Clubs please ensure that they notify their Chairperson, Secretary and Children's Officer who MUST be in attendance on the night.

Sports Capital Grants - Free Workshop

A free workshop will be hosted by AAI on Thursday 20th September in the Charleville Park Hotel, Charleville, Co. Cork from 7pm to 9pm. Workshop is aimed at assisting Clubs to complete their applications. It is necessary to reserve your place should you wish to attend. Full Jumps Workshop
Sunday 23rd September in Templemore Track at 11am. For athletes aged 12 years+, all are welcome, cost is 5 euro per athlete. Long Jump (Pat Power), High Jump (Barry Pender), Triple Jump (David Murphy) & Pole Vault (Eamon Flanagan). Contact Pat Power @ jumps@athleticsireland.ie to register.

Pole Vault Workshop for Beginners

Congratulations to John Dwyer, Templemore A.C. who finished an excellent 6th overall in the M35 Hammer at the World Master T&F Championships in Malaga. John threw a best of 52.21m in the 3rd round and was just 15cm off 5th place. See Result here. He also placed 14th in the M35 Shot Putt with a best of 12.09m. See Result here. John will also compete in the M35 WFD on Tuesday 11th Sept. Well done also to Genevieve Rowland, Templemore A.C. finished an excellent 5th place in the W35 Heptathlon with a final score of 2914 points. See result here. 4th & 8th Place Finishes for Tipp County Teams at National League As Nenagh Olympic A.C. Win Division 1

The National League Final took place in Tullamore on Sunday 19th August. Tipp teams battled hard with the Men's team just coming up short in 5th place (89 pts) and the Women's team finishing in 8th place (60.5pts) but missing some of their key athletes due to injury & holidays. Nonethless, both teams put on a great display of athletics with our top scorers being Anna Ryan, Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. (1st Pole Vault), Aoife Vaughan Witts, Borrisokane A.C. (2nd Hammer), Rachel O'Shea, Carrick-On-Suir A.C. (3rd Triple Jump), Sean Mockler, Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. (1st Discus), Daniel Ryan, Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. (2nd Pole Vault & 110mH, 4th Shot & member of 4 x 100m & 4 x 400m teams), John Dwyer, Templemore A.C. (2nd Hammer & WFD), David Mansfield, Clonmel A.C. (3rd 5km) & Ross Alexander, Coolquill A.C. (3rd 3km Walk). Nenagh Olympic A.C. Men's team also competed very well winning Division 1.

Masterful Day of Athletics in Tullamore

The Irish Life Health National Masters T&F Championships were held in Tullamore on Saturday 18th  August. Our top scorer on the day was Patrick Naughton, Nenagh Olympic A.C. who added 3 gold, 1 silver & 1 bronze in the M85 category to his tally to make it a superb 310 medals in total won by him over the years at Masters Championships. He won gold in the 100m, Shot Putt & Long Jump, silver in the Javelin & bronze in the Discus. Pat Grace, Nenagh Olympic A.C. took double gold in the M55 400m & 800m; John Dwyer, Templemore A.C. won gold in the M35 Hammer, silver in the WFD & bronze in the Shot Putt;  Hazel Galloway, Clonmel A.C. won gold in the W60 200m & silver in the 100m; Larry O'Grady, Mooreabbey Milers A.C. won gold in the M55 High Jump, double silver in the Shot Putt & WFD & bronze in the Discus; Noel Monteith, Borrisokane A.C. won gold in the M70 High Jump, silver in the Javelin & double bronze in the Shot Putt & Discus; Matt Alexander, Coolquill A.C. took double silver in the M65 1500m & 5km; Patrick Corcoran, Tipperary Town A.C. won double silver in the M50 Javelin & WFD & bronze in the Discus & Catherine Madden, Borrisokane A.C. won gold in the W35 High Jump & bronze in the Shot Putt. National Community Games Finals

The Aldi National Community Games Finals took place on Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th August in UL. There were gold medal wins for Templemore U/16 Mixed relay team (Jordan Collins, Emma Grant, Rachel Leonard, Jimmy Mullen, David Quinn & Neassa Towey), Carrick-On-Suir Girls U/16 Relay team (Kellie Bester, Siobhan OBilor, Caoimhe Power, Chantelle Robinson & Lynn Vermeer), Jade Barry, Carrick-On-Suir in the Girls U/12 Ball Throw & James Long, Newport in the Boys U/8 60m B Final. Silver medals were won by Kellie Bester, Carrick-On-Suir  in the Girls U/16 200m & Lily Ann O'Meara, Roscrea in the Girls U/10 Hurdles with bronze medals for Sam Donovan, Kilusty Fethard in the Boys U/8 80m and Jimmy Mullen, Templemore in the Boys U/16 High Jump. Pewter medals were won by Mark Davidson, Roscrea in the Boys U/14 800m, Graham Dooley, Roscrea in the Boys U/14 Long Jump, Anna Ryan, Moycarkey Borris in the Girls U/16 High Jump & the Templederry Boys U/16 Relay team (Lewis Doyle, Patrick Fogarty, Tom McCutcheon, Darragh Murray, Aaron Ryan & James Sage). Medals for Tipp at National Half Marathon

Tipperary athletes were out in force at the National Half Marathon Championships in Dublin on Sunday 12th August. David Mansfield, Clonmel A.C. took a super silver in the Senior Men's race in a time of 1.09.00 and led the Clonmel A.C. Senior Men's team to a silver medal along with Jimmy Boland (1.16.33) & Joey Feery (1.19.43). Keely Tideswell, Clonmel A.C. also took silver in the Women's 0/35 category in 1.31.15 with Aine Roche in 5th 0/35 in 1.34.40 & Anne Marie Halpin 8th 0/40 in 1.39.24 with all three women winning silver in the 0/35 team category. Dermot Hayes, Dundrum A.C. was another silver medal winner in the 0/50 category with his time of 1.17.23. Thurles Crokes A.C. took team gold in the 0/35 Men's category with John Treacy, John Fitzgibbon & Denis Shanahan (3.50.59).

6th Place Finish for Ryan at England Senior International Combined Events Championships

Daniel Ryan, Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. closed his season with a 6th place finish in the England Senior International Combined Events Championships in Manchester on Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th August. Competing in his first Senior Decathlon, Ryan scored a Decathlon pb of 6849 points also posting new pbs in the Pole Vault (4.17m), 400m (50.35), 1500m (4.46.90) & Javelin (41.37m) as well as a seasons best of 6.90m in the Long Jump.

Strong Celtic Performances from Tipp Athletes

  
    
4 Tipperary athletes competed for Ireland at the Celtic Games in Grangemouth, Scotland on Saturday 4th August. Both Miriam Daly, Carrick-On-Suir A.C. and Jack Ryan, Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. scored maximum points for the Irish team winning their events. Daly ran 61.66 in the Girls U/18 400mH to take the victory with Ryan throwing the Boys U/18 Shot Putt out to 16.65m, a pb by 1 metre & 10 cm to win the event. Daly was also part of the Irish Women's 4 x 400m Relay that claimed 1st place in the Girls U/18. Aimee Hayde, Newport A.C. ran a great 800m race in the Girls U/16 to take second place in 2.14.22 with Joseph McEvoy, Nenagh Olympic A.C. running a pb of 14.67 in the Boys U/18 110mH to place 3rd. The Irish team finished 2nd overall behind Scotland. Congrats to our 4 athletes who represented their Clubs, County & Country so well on the day.

Irish Life Health National Senior T&F Championships - Day 2

There were super silver medals for Anna Ryan, Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. and Miriam Daly, Carrick-On-Suir A.C. at Day 2 of the National Senior Championships in Santry on Sunday 29th July. Ryan cleared 3.20m in the Senior Women's Pole Vault to win silver, making her the youngest medal winner at these Championships at 15 years old while Daly ran a swift 61.32 in the Senior Women's 400mH to finish 2nd. John Dwyer, Templemore A.C. also won a brilliant bronze medal in the Senior Men's 56lb Weight for Distance with a throw of 7.55m and was also 6th in the Shot Putt (12.42m). Other Tipp athletes who competed well were Daniel Ryan, Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. who was 4th in the Senior Men's 110mH in a pb of 14.89 with Ross Alexander, Coolquill A.C. in 5th place in the Senior Men's 10km Walk in a pb of 54.07.56, Nenagh Olympic A.C. Men's 4 x 400m Relay team 5th (3.23.45) & Robert Bennett, Nenagh Olympic A.C. in 6th place in the Senior Men's 400m (49.00). Congrats to all on such great performances.

Day 1 of the National Senior Championships took place in Santry on Saturday 28th July. There were gold medal wins for Brian Naughton, Nenagh Olympic A.C. in the Junior Boys Weight for Height and bronze for Kevin Maunsell, Clonmel A.C. in the Men's 10,000m & 12th place for his team-mate, David Mansfield. Nenagh Olympic A.C. Men's 4 x 100m Relay also placed 5th in their final. A number of Tipp athletes also progressed to finals which will be held tomorrow.

There were wins for Nuala Fitzgibbon, Thurles Crokes A.C. & Ben Coughlan, Mooreabbey Milers A.C. in the Junior Women's & Men's races with Thurles Crokes A.C. scooping the Senior titles following brilliant performances by Madeline Loughnane & Denis Shanahan. Clonmel A.C. won the "A" & "B" Women's team competition with Thurles Crokes A.C. taking both categories in the Men's competition.

National Record for Hayde on Day 3 National Juvenile T&F Championships

The third day of the Irish Life Health National T&F Championships was held on Sunday 22nd July in Tullamore with Tipperary athletes taking home 12 medals in total (5 gold, 2 silver & 5 bronze). The standout performer for Tipperary on the day was Aimee Hayde, Newport A.C. who led the Girls U/16 1500m from gun to tape winning gold & clocking a new National record of 4.30.91. She adds this to her National U/16 800m record of 2.11.63 set a few weeks ago. Other medal winners for the County were Kelly Bester, Carrick-On-Suir A.C. who won gold in the Girls U/16 200m (25.67), Adam O'Dwyer, Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. (gold Boys U/17 Pole Vault 3.70m), Miriam Daly, Carrick-On-Suir A.C. (gold Girls U/18 400mH 1.02.12), Sean Mockler, Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. (gold in Boys U/19 Hammer 59.17) & silver in the Discus (42.19m) & Jack Ryan Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. who won silver in the Boys U/18 Discus (42.52m). Bronze medals were won by Adam Dooley, Templemore A.C. (Boys U/19 Triple Jump 11.94m), Sean Carolan, Nenagh Olympic A.C. (Boys U/18 Discus 42.05), Ben Connolly, Nenagh Olympic A.C. (Boys U/15 Pole Vault 2.60m), Roseann Fitzgerald, Carrick-On-Suir A.C. (Girls U/18 200m 26.31) & Tom Walshe, Nenagh Olympic A.C. (Boys U/14 1500m 4.36.48). Super Silver for Irish Team at SIAB Schools T&F International

Well done to our two Tipperary athletes who were on the Irish team, Anna Ryan, Ursuline Thurles/Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. & Adam O'Dwyer, Thurles CBS/Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. Anna finished 4th on countback in the Girls Pole Vault just missing out on bronze with Adam finishing 8th in the Boys Pole Vault.
